Art has been a major passion of my life as long as I can remember. I started to pursue my calling at Grande Prairie Regional college in the Bachelors of Fine Arts. Not too long into the program is when I really realized that my desire was for Textile Art.
As a child growing up I recall having my own puppets and watching The Muppet Show. While watching them and playing with my puppets, I recall wanting to learn how to make them. I remember trying to make strange little puppet creatures. In many different mediums. Unfortunately they did not work out for the best. As I grew up I started to learn how to construct better puppets.
To really expand on my love for textiles and puppets I moved to Vancouver BC and completed the Textile Arts Program at Capilano University. I graduated from the two year program. The different textile and fibre classes have opened up new and inventive ways of designing and making my puppets. I am currently working on a diverse series of puppets for the Kozie Puppet line.
